Tuesdays appointments brought murmurs of how lousy Tate is still looking and lots of labs. Labs weren’t great. Inflammation is up and counts across the board are down with lymphocytes way up. This just supports further inflammation. We’re not sure what her platelets and Red blood cells are doing. Tate is immunosupressed, so it’s “normal” for her neutrophils to be low. Just means we need to be careful with exposures. Care conference was held Tuesday morning before we saw both GI and Special Care. Information sharing surrounding that was I guess, held from us? until Tuesday when they’ve scheduled another care conference with us present. Rheumatology, Bone marrow transplant, special care, nephrology, neurology and pain. I’m trying not to worry about this shift in plans.
I spent about an hour on the phone with Tate’s neurologist yesterday. She’s lovely and it was good to talk through Tate’s vision changes and increasing migraines. Last neuro visit a couple weeks ago, we had started a new medication. We now are stopping that one and the old one that is no longer working. The teams don’t want anything new started until everyone meets again Tuesday.
I’m still waiting on pain for admit plans next week. Not sure if the hold up is actually varying opinions among team members or actual logistics.
I received some amazingly cozy Birthday socks in the mail with no card. Whomever sent them must know me well. Im often cold. I love them. Thank you so very much!
