Today was an exhausting, emotionally challenging day filled with unexpected twists and turns, but also some truly heartwarming moments thanks to the incredible people in our lives.
We were initially planning to head home despite Tate still feeling lousy, but then the care conference information came around, infectious disease stopped by, and it was decided that Tate's line needed to be replaced due to a suspected bacterial biofilm causing this never ending yuck. The hope is that a new line will help her feel better and prevent future infections.
Tate also had her pain pump refilled, underwent another ultrasound, and met with surgery, with the goal of scheduling a line replacement procedure for tomorrow.
We received some concerning imaging results that have put everything on hold. We're hopeful for clarification tomorrow. Despite the not so good stuff today, there was some obvious bright spots.
Tate did crafts with Cole and Ruffles and a big Round Up River Ranch crew was here for a camp fair, which brought many of our favorite faces and even more smiles. It's a powerful reminder that it's the people in our lives who make even the toughest days brighter. We are so grateful for these people who bring the smiles, warmth and love. It’s the people who ALWAYS save the day.
