Post BMT +201

We are home! It will feel great to sleep in our own beds tonight. Tomorrow is BMT and GI appointments to see if Tate’s electrolytes held steady and to check in after the admission in Wisconsin.
While inpatient in WI, Tate finished her tacro wean. This is the post transplant, anti rejection med she’s been on. It’s actually a huge step! We aren’t sure if it’s the removal of this heavy hitter, just time, prayers answered, all of the above or what, but Tate has had an amazing two days. She is walking better than I’ve seen in a year and a half. She is requesting much less pain meds and we are seeing much more of her sunny personality emerging again. It feels hopeful and optimistic. I’m hoping tomorrow is a great day and she can surprise her team by walking into clinic instead of rolling in!
