Day 24

Today we saw a shift in Tate, but not in a positive direction. She was hard to arouse and slept all day. She finally woke up a bit tonight in time for a matching PJ picture.

Tomorrow is another care conference. This one will include Tates primary outpatient team including, GI, rheumatology and special care. As well as infectious disease, hematology, oncology, palliative, pain team, neuroimmunology, childlife, one of her primary nurses and the inpatient purple team which includes an attending and two residents. That’s A LOT of dr’s and medical professionals in one room. Care conferences can be daunting. I’m grateful that almost all these providers are people that really are part of our medical family, and already know Tate and our family well.

This isn’t even all Tates specialist’s….just the ones needed currently. We’re missing at least 5 more not including her therapists (PT, OT, pain) or the ones I likely forgot. This girl really does have an amazing team all working to figure out how best to care for her.

After tomorrow, we should have a plan for testing, surgery, treatment and hopefully a way to get us back home in a state better than where Tate currently sits. It’s been concerning seeing her going the wrong direction. We need to turn this ship around.
