1 Year +283 continued….
It’s 11:30 pm. After 13 hours in the ER we are finally in an inpatient room, and grateful for that! The hospital is at capacity so at one point we were told we may have to sleep in the ER. Silver lining to Tates complexity is we bumped the queue as they wanted more eyes on her. But really found myself praying for so many sick kiddos tonight.
What we learned after an MRI, 3 body parts
x rayed and tons of labs….
Tate is septic.
Tate has RSV
Tate potentially has an infection in her hip joint
Tate is showing acute kidney injury.
Tate doesn’t have pneumonia.
Contrary to the initial mri read, Tate DoESN’T have a soft tissue tumor in her hip.
And ruled out a bunch of other stuff.
We don’t yet know if the infection is in her central line….we wait to see if cultures grow. Tate has received lots of iv antibiotics and will continue to receive them. Her vitals went from all super high to all super low-concerning with sepsis. The floor wouldn’t take her until her Blood pressure came up. Another fluid bolus and we made it. We are grateful for all the kind, thoughtful care she’s received today and for all the prayers!
