We are home! A cup of coffee from your own kitchen is always underrated.
Yesterday was long trying to get everything coordinated, Homecare had to come teach, antibiotics delivered to the hospital to hook Tate up before we left and high blood pressure delayed us further.
But prior to that, Tate’s day was started with a painting activity with Ruffles. Childlife bestie, Cole, is starting an inpatient teen support group. She and Tate have brain stormed over this in past admissions and getting Ruffles to “paint” on canvas was trialed. It was a fun start to the day.
Surgery came to remove the wire stitches around Tate’s central line. They were causing pain and oozing and an infection risk. Easier to clean and much more comfortable for Tate.
Tate and I didn’t have a car and Tim is hosting a conference and was unable to get away. Keira is sick and I didn’t want Tate in a car with her for an hour and a half. My sweet, sweet friend, Elizabeth came after a 12 hour shift, sat with us for a delayed 3 hours while they hemmed and hawed over Tates BP and brought us home last night about 7:30. Thank you again my sweet friend.
We see rheumatology today and my guess is it won’t be an easy conversation. Thank you for your continued prayers and love.
