Sunday morning brought a continuation of tracking down those IV antibiotics and our Homecare company came through with a late morning delivery. We actually have an amazing pharmacist that I talk to weekly who had thankfully already mixed the antibiotics. They just aren’t “open” on the weekend. Children’s actually just forgot to let them know Tate was discharged. There was no training or offer of skilled nursing prior to discharge, which should’ve been my clue. They don’t too often send IV push meds home. Thankful we’ve been doing this awhile. It all worked out just fine….as it usually does.

Tomorrow we’re back at Children’s for some long 4 hour testing to look at the brain effects of Tate’s disease process. This is the type of testing Tate probably dislikes the most. It’s hard. Not as much physically, but emotionally. The results have been difficult in the past but it’s our best measurement for ongoing processes.
