Behçet’s ulcers
Day 10: Yesterday was hard. Last night was hard. This morning was awful. Praying today is better after getting Tate on a PCA pump with dilaudid. She can push the button every 10 minutes. It’s already providing more relief, and although it feels like we’re moving backwards, we are grateful. The patch is still a no go. Because Tate has secondary Medicaid, we are unable to pay for it out of pocket. No logic.
Tomorrow morning is a small bowel study and the capsule test will take place Friday or Monday. Had another x Ray this morning. Her pain is changing, becoming worse and more diffuse. They didn’t anticipate disease progression this rapidly, but as they aren’t 100% sure what her process is, and with worsening symptoms, we are hoping the above tests will provide a better understanding of which way these terrible ulcers are moving.
Pathology isn’t fully back but they are leaning more towards Behçet’s ulcers although Behçet’s small bowel ulcers (where Tates largest are) are rare. GI said they don’t 100% look like crohns OR behcets. God does know. We trust in his plan. His love for Tate far surpasses our understanding. Jesus loves her most.
