Day 13

Last night was unfortunately the worst night yet. Tate is maxing out all her pain med options and was sobbing trying to walk the 5 ft to the bathroom this morning. Thankfully Tates chronic pain Dr. Is back today. We’re going to try adding in muscle relaxers as her BP is too soft to increase the narcotics. They’ve ordered a new medication for her IT pump. Tomorrow they’ll pull out the morphine, double the bupivacane and add in this new medication. She should see the effects of that one sometime Wednesday morning. This week is going to quickly slip away again.

Tate had a visit this morning from a sweet prescription pet named Nella. After a really rough night/morning, she brought some needed calm. We need prayers that these new meds start working. We’re struggling to not lose hope in this pump. We just have hung everything on this being successful.

Tates labs are a bit wonky this morning. Really hoping it’s not kidney related and something weirdly simple, like 2.5 L day of fluids just aren’t enough. Things either get better or get worse with time and usually reveal themselves either way. Tate had a weird fever again last night. They seem to be rheumatological in nature. We haven’t seen these Fever episodes in years. It’s hard to not worry that rheum things are progressing.
