1 Year +296

Tatum had an ultrasound this afternoon to look at available vessel sites for her new line placement tomorrow. She’s scheduled to go to surgery at 11:00. Our hope was to combine it with a GJ feeding tube exchange, but it doesn’t look like that will happen this time.

Tate’s fungal test came back positive again. This is concerning and makes a false positive less likely, but I don’t think anyone has landed on a plan on what to do with this yet. Traditional treatment is 21 days of IV anti fungals. We’ll see where we land with infectious disease tomorrow.

Rounds this morning pushed our discharge a couple more days. Slightly discouraging. We’re now looking at Thur or Fri if everything holds steady and fungal or wonky electrolytes don’t get in the way. Getting awfully close to Christmas.

Drew flew in tonight. Every time he comes home, Tate is in the hospital. The whole family came for dinner and TJ joined us on speaker. It was fun to hear the laughter amongst the kids. I’m so grateful for the way they love each other. It feels like Christmas in little bursts. There was Christmas music being played on the piano in the atrium. My heart couldn’t decide what it felt….a mixture of happy and sad. We’re trying to add in a little Christmas anyway we can.
