We were planning on getting out of here early this afternoon with a weeks worth of IV antibiotics to finish at home. Tate was feeling pretty good last night. Late morning she was huddled under several layers of blankets, running a fever and now has added her not so friendly companion, Blue, by her side. A viral panel was sent off and we’re here for a few more hours at least, but that’s as far as a plan as I currently have. For you medical mamas….I did it…..I packed the bags. And I knew better the whole time.

Today was camp wrap up. I have a cute cabin story. The girls have a candle chat each night at bedtime. They circle up their beanbags in their cabin and have a heartfelt question they go around and share. After Tate left, they had an empty beanbag pulled up. In it was a water bottle with a hairbrush taped to the top, a sticky note with a smiley face on it and a couple hair bedazzles stuck to the hairbrush (which tate is known for.) It was Tate’s stand in. The girls went around and told each person what they admired about each other. They didn’t leave Tate out. These were then shared with me to pass along with Tate. Mama’s…you have done well with these kids. They are special ones. And a tough medical journey oddly tends to bring out the good stuff. And Round Up, kudos on fostering it. These kids are built up day in and out…by each other. Our entire world needs to follow this model.

Our goal is $3,000. We’re over halfway there. Even $10 helps! It’s all tax deductible.

Thank you! Thank you! for those who have donated and for those who are supporting through just cheering us on or liking and sharing Tate’s page. We’re grateful for it all.
