Early this morning, Tims dad passed away after transferring to the hospice facility the afternoon before. We will miss Grampa Hip as our kids liked to call him. But we also are so thankful that he is no longer in pain and is healed in his heavenly home with his savior. We will miss the stories and trinkets and treasures. The special treats for the grandkids and the “Brown cow” drinks. We are left with cherished memories and peace knowing how much he loved Jesus and in turn is healed in eternity. We are headed to WY the end of next week for a gathering with all the family to share in the love and the memories.
This week was a fun change of pace with G&G B here. They left for WI this morning. Tate enjoyed mostly observing the additional activity. Cousin Colton even spent a night with us. She hasn’t been feeling super great the last few days especially. Her knees are swollen and she’s been experiencing increased stomach and muscle pain once again. Fatigue and lots of sleep are commonplace. We were slated to see rheumatology and baby Chloe today but had to reschedule both due to how Tate was feeling.
This time of year is always a little tough for Tate as she sees all the HOCO pics and is reminded again of the HS world she has yet to get a taste of. We know she’s making progress but are feeling frustrated with how crummy she feels yet on a daily basis. She seems to make progress physically and then something causes the muscle pain ti increase again and walking becomes more difficult. As recommended by her PT, She is getting a better wheelchair that will be easier for her to maneuver for when she needs it. The temptation is to believe if you don’t move forward with it, she won’t need it. But part of healing is acceptance to work with where you’re at.
Prayers for Lilly as she gets a new broviac central line tomorrow. What is typically a “simple” procedure with anesthesia is so hard on Lilly.
We you Lilly.
Prayers for Tim’s mom, Sandy, as she adjusts to life without her life partner. You are so loved Sandy!
