The good stuff

Day 40:

The good stuff….I spent a couple hours with my mom before she heads back to FL tomorrow.

Tate had a FT call from my sweet TJ and his GF, Megan.

Tomorrow Tate gets to try one less formula feed to see if she can eat the equivalent(she is constantly bargaining with her dietician as the g tube feeds often cause increased nausea. Her dietician is a doll to continue to allow Tate to have some control.) We had another FT call with Tates hospice nurse, Kathy.

Tate made a lap around the unit while scooting on an office chair. It’s a fun and innovative way to strengthen legs that aren’t yet strong enough for such a long walk. Each lap you earn a “lap tag” for your door. After you earn enough, you can swap them out for a mile tag. (There also happens to be an activity bin along the way that our sweet childlife specialist stocks specifically for the interests of the BMT kiddos that are on the floor.) Knees were especially ornery today so this was a big accomplishment.
