Day 43
Today was the meh day after all the fun. But it was busy. Saw Aunt Jen off at the airport, and made it back for a virtual appointment with a county case manager and rounds with pain team then inpatient purple team.
An x ray and another ultrasound was ordered due to new bruising and pain on Tatum’s left side. Her inflammation markers came back higher than I’ve ever seen them and she slept a lot today. Pain seemed to increase as well.
The fun of Tate turning 18 means I get locked out of her mychart account until IT processes the proxy. So I wait until rounds for scan results. Not a position I’m used to. This is just the tip of the iceberg of everything that went on this past week but really for many months getting ready for this Birthday. We’re not through it yet, but are grateful to be through a stressful and crazy week. More on all that at a later date.
Ketamine will run now through Sunday and then we’ll work on other pain options. The poor blood flow to Tates left arm and new pain in her left chest needs to be figured out and her high inflammation markers need to be sourced. This admission feels never ending.
