Bella had a vet visit, was diagnosed with severe colitis and should be okay with fluids and med support. Tate is thrilled! Bella was so sick and bleeding profusely. We actually didn’t think she’d make it until we got home. Great turnaround!

Tate was supposed to ride in the Harley Toy drive parade for Children’s this morning but still was feeling too under the weather. We had a major snafu with getting her morphine refilled on Friday which meant she was completely out today. A scary situation. 3 hours on hold yesterday and we finally got it this afternoon avoiding an ER visit. The hoops to get these meds is sometimes crazy! Frustrating when those working don’t understand the significance of a delay.

We have been struggling for the last two months to get a brain MRI to go through for Keira. The problem is surprisingly not insurance, but rather the hospital here that doesn’t like the format of Mayo Floridas notes. Keira’s had some shifting of symptoms and we really need this scan for peace of mind (and it’s just scheduled for follow up.) Hoping everything falls into place this week.

We had some fun overnight guests in the Stevenson’s this weekend. I missed all photo ops but always love having them.

We had THE most amazing and relaxing time in FL. We are beyond humbled and so full of gratitude for the love and kindness shown to our family. It was a gift of uninterrupted time together that we all desperately needed. Thank you a million times Liz and Bobby Poteete. And thank you to my sister Jennifer too. So much love for you all.

It’s still Fall in our house, so we’re looking forward to bringing in the Christmas decor this week. Tate was supposed to have her neurosurgical consult tomorrow, on Monday. I was told on Friday that they now want her to see their more experienced surgeon due to her history. That pushes us another month. Frustrating that the decision was made two days before her appointment after already waiting a month. Our slow motion emergency is often not shared. But, we’re trying to trust in the bigger picture. And, I’m still trying to find a way to an earlier appointment.
