Silver linings are the best aren’t they? God takes the hard stuff and turns it into beauty if you just embrace what’s in front of you.
We’ve gotten to do lots of fun things with family that we see much too little of. Shopping, an escape room, exploring my sisters non profit dress warehouse, and we made a trip to Milwaukee to share in the fun of wedding dress shopping with Meg and I got to squeeze my boys. Tate and I haven’t seen them since May. Having all the kids together makes my heart happiest. Just missing Tim.
My mom’s cancer treatment plan is getting set and my dad is halfway through his radiation. Thanks for all the prayers!
Taking Tate out of CO gives us a break from the in person medical. But there’s still been a considerable amount of back and forth which I appreciate as it keeps things moving. Tates next level of genetic testing was denied by insurance. Not surprised. Now the appeal goes to the hospital to cover it. Tates geneticist is confident they will. There’s also a referral going out to the UDN (Undiagnosed Diseases Network .) This is a long, long process, so no quick answers for our slow motion emergency. But we’re always grateful for further direction. If the hospital should deny testing, the UDN will offer the full genome sequencing plus more only offered through studies. It’ll just delay things considerably. Always grateful for a backup plan!
