Two long days of hospital appointments led this week off. Today’s hematology appointment we sat on either a blood transfusion or an iron infusion. We opted to try iron first…..mostly because it’s about 2 hours compared to 4+ for Tate and we are already tired of being at the hospital this week after just getting out Friday.

Tate ended the day with her YAC (Youth Advisory Committee) meeting also at Main campus. But as the day continued today, she was rapidly feeling worse and worse and she didn’t last through the whole thing. By the time we got home she was flirting with a fever (which we know Tate typically doesn’t run) despite 600 mg of ibuprofen a couple hours prior for pain and a migraine.

Ugh! I’m praying so hard she stays cool throughout the night and tomorrow wakes up feeling better. A fever is an automatic 48 hour admission with a central line.
