The last two days have been a complete roller coaster with emotions following right along. The quick summary is…
after an increase in baseline steroids, and some great prayer warriors, Tate’s BP and symptoms stabilized and the latest cultures have yet to grow. Palliative, endocrinology and pain team were active alongside the medical team this admission.
Tate isn’t 100%, and I was warned things could flip, and cultures could still grow. But, we really wanted to go home while Tate seemed to be feeling better than she did last week. In the very immediate, there is nothing they were doing for her we couldn’t do at home. The hospital will always be waiting. Our Hope, of course, is that we’ll stay home through Christmas.
Some really fun things happened the last two days too, so stay tuned for some pics. But for tonight…..We are home and looking forward to a night with zero alarms, zero nighttime vitals, no glow of monitors or pumps and our own beds.
