Tate has had a bit of fun mixed with the normal yuck. And we’ll take it. She is no loner officially part of Team Impact, but there are amazing girls that still treat Tate like she is part of the team. They recently came over for tacos and a Mama Mia movie night.
Hospital Prom is coming up! I ended up with bronchitis as a bonus to the Covid, which is where amazing big sisters come in for dress shopping trips. Shopping after everyone else’s prom’s means bargains. The girls found their dresses for $20!! and just had a fun evening out together.
We aren’t seeing a huge improvement in the increase in meds in Tates IT pump from this last week, but the beauty of the IT is there’s other things to try. Overall, it’s still a huge improvement over the oral narcotics which we had no room to increase or switch up. I feel grateful for it every time Tate can pick up her device and self bolus. As a whole, she gets a decent day or part of a day here or there and then several days of not so great. Seems to be the nature of this disease process. We are grateful for those little reprieves.
Fun facts: Tate has been reading a ton and is on book 6 in the Percy Jackson Series. She and I also have an American Idol date every Sunday night. We currently have too many favorites to list, and yes, we do vote!
