Day 16

Some days the trudging forward just stops and you’re forced to pause and feel all the emotions. Today was hard. Physically hard for Tate as they turned down the PCA and stopped the muscle relaxer medication only to start it again after a terrible day. Just a ride around the unit in Tates wheelchair brought big tears from pain and lots of dialogue with the team. And emotionally hard processing the disappointment and defeat that we aren’t seeing the results from the IT pump that we’d dreamed of. We are still hoping time will bring better results . Tate is being referred to palliative care. This is a team that works with life limiting and chronic illnesses that are non curative. It isn’t new information to us. But finally saying “yes” to this team means we’re left to process what’s in front of us. Today was hard. But like every other step weve come to, we’ll process, grieve and move forward.
