We had such a calm, peaceful, fun Christmas and just enjoyed all being home together. We had some church friends over Christmas Eve and the amount of laughter from my kids brought happy tears. We missed TJ. His surgery went well and after a tough couple days, he’s on his way to healing.

Tate’s pain especially at night has been tougher than where we were just a couple weeks ago. When we see tears, we know things aren’t good. Tate is typically a master at covering her discomfort. Her surgery for the pain pump is on hold while we sort out the fungal and make sure the systemic inflammation is as calm as possible. We now just have an appointment with her neurosurgeon in about a week to discuss new plans. Please pray they aren’t taking this option off the table.

We met our new homecare nurse today. She’ll come once a week to take labs in for us. She’s available for cares for both Tates central line and GJ tube if wanted/needed. I appreciate an extra set of eyes at times and the adult interaction is always nice. She was a Children’s Hospital nurse for 20+ years so comes with lots of experience.
