Day +87 Post BMT
Grandma Carol and Aunt Jen flew in from WI today. Pics of my mom tomorrow! So nice to have them here and perfect timing with Tate feeling a little better each day. And I LOVE the company. Jen and I even got a quick happy hour in when we walked to pick up dinner. Grandma and Tate got a little time together too!
Yesterday was a tough one. Tate was supposed to have appointments with her new pain Dr. and we didn’t make it. The idea of meeting another new Dr. Outside of her BmT team and all her other specialists was just too much. It has been nonstop full days of appointments and lab draws and tests and infusions, PT and OT. All necessary and good things in order to move forward. But yesterday was too much. Tate needed a day away from it all and although it made for a tough morning initially, I honestly was grateful to just “be” yesterday too.
Today was a decent day for Tate. She slept a lot. Woke around 1:30 and was back in bed by 8. Her skin gvh was barely visible today so we are hopeful that the steroids have taken care of the bulk of it already. Tate ate a little food and was pretty low key all day on the couch, but did well! We’re hoping to get her outside a bit to enjoy the long weekend.
