Throwback Update

***This is an old update.

My memory that popped up today on my regular FB page. Tate’s first positive blood culture long before we understood what was going on. Ended up being osteomyelitis; a bone infection, with no known entry point. We now know it was Tate's immune system just showing how out of whack it was. I share just for my own memory. It’s crazy to think how much has happened in 4 years.

Update on Tate:

Tatum’s blood cultures came back positive meaning she has a bacterial infection in her bloodstream. We still don’t know the source but are still thinking it’s at the source of her pain, in her thigh/hip area. Still waiting on more scans and other test results. This is a scary dx but helps explain the almost constant high fevers (upwards of 104.5) She’ll be on IV antibiotics for a few days until her cultures are clean for 48 hours then 6 weeks of oral antibiotics. Praying her body responds to the antibiotics quickly and that there are no other complications with the infection.
